Joel Kovel, American scholar and author (died 2018)

Joel Stephen Kovel was an American psychiatrist, scholar, human rights activist, and author known as a founder of eco-socialism. Kovel became a psychoanalyst, but he abandoned psychoanalysis in 1985.
