Lee Myung-bak, South Korean businessman and politician, 10th President of South Korea

Lee Myung-bak GOM, often referred to by his initials MB, is a South Korean businessman and politician who served as the tenth president of South Korea from 2008 to 2013. Before his presidency, he was the CEO of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and the mayor of Seoul from 2002 to 2006.

The president of the Republic of Korea, also known as the president of South Korea, is the head of state and head of government of South Korea. The president directs the executive branch of the government and is the commander-in-chief of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces.
