Richard Levis McCormick is an American historian, serving as the interim president of Stony Brook University from August 2024 to August 2025. He served as the 19th president of Rutgers University from 2002 to 2012, as the 28th president of the University of Washington from 1995 to 2002, and as the provost of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1992 to 1995.
