Mike Gravel, American politician (born 1930)

Maurice Robert "Mike" Gravel was an American politician and writer who represented Alaska in the United States Senate from 1969 to 1981 as a member of the Democratic Party. He ran for president twice: in 2008, and 2020. He was the 4th US Senator in all of Alaska history.
