Susanna M. Salter, American activist and politician (born 1860)

Susanna Madora Salter was an American politician and activist. She served as mayor of Argonia, Kansas, from 1887 to 1888, becoming the first woman elected to serve as a mayor in the United States and one of the first women to serve in any political office in the United States.
