Lubiri
Lubiri is the royal compound of the Kabaka of Buganda, located in Mengo, a suburb of Kampala, the Ugandan capital. The original Lubiri was destroyed by the Uganda Army in the May 1966 Battle of Mengo Hill, at the culmination of the struggle between Mutesa II and Milton Obote for power.

The kingdom of the Baganda people, Buganda is the largest of the traditional kingdoms in present-day East Africa, consisting of Uganda's Central Region, including the Ugandan capital Kampala. The 14 million Baganda make up the largest Ugandan region, representing approximately 16% of Uganda's population.
