Ahmed Boughera El Ouafi was a French Algerian marathon runner who represented France at the 1924 and 1928 Summer Olympics, winning gold in the latter. He was largely unrecognized in his lifetime, facing discrimination in France due to his Algerian origin. He received posthumous recognition as a French athlete that was unappreciated in life.
