A group of London schoolboys led by Bobby Buckle founded Hotspur Football Club to continue to play sports during the winter months.

Robert Buckle was an English footballer who, as a schoolboy, founded the Hotspur Football Club in 1882, which later became Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
