Francesco Buhagiar, Maltese politician, 2nd Prime Minister of Malta (died 1934)

Francesco Buhagiar was the second Prime Minister of Malta (1923–1924). He was elected from the Maltese Political Union.

The prime minister of Malta is the head of government, which is the highest official of Malta. The prime minister chairs Cabinet meetings, and selects its ministers to serve in their respective portfolios. The prime minister holds office by their ability to command the confidence of the Parliament, as such they sit as members of Parliament.
