Omali Yeshitela
Omali Yeshitela is an American political activist and author. He is a co-founder and current chairman of the African People's Socialist Party which leads the Uhuru Movement. Yeshitela has advocated for reparations as a "People's Advocate" at the First International Tribunal on Reparations to Black People in the U.S., held in Brooklyn, New York, in 1982.
African People's Socialist Party
The African People's Socialist Party (APSP) is an African International political party in the United States. APSP leads its sister organization, the Uhuru Movement. Both APSP and Uhuru formed in 1972 from the merger of three prior Black Power organizations. APSP supports reparations for slavery in the United States, African socialism, and African internationalism.
